Venezuelan music director Gustavo Dudamel will perform with the Philharmonic Orchestra at the 'Our Sounds' festival at New York's Carnegie Hall, which pays tribute to Latino culture in the U.S., according to the theater. 

They will be playing three concerts on October 8th, 9th and 10th as part of Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations. 

The Philharmonic's first event will feature guest baritone Gustavo Castillo; during the second day there will be a performance of Mendelsson's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream,' with narration by Spanish actress María Valverde; finally, on the last day, the Philharmonic will feature Mexican singer Natalia Lafourcade. 

“The festival's programming highlights the groundbreaking contributions and constant evolution of Latin music from the 1930s to the present, with a special focus on genres that have developed and flourished in the United States, including vital contributions from the Caribbean,” Carnegie Hall said in a statement. 

As a prelude to the start of the 'Our Sounds' festival, Carnegie Hall Citywide presents GRAMMY-nominated Cuban singer and songwriter Daymé Arocena on Friday, September 20th in Madison Square Park, the center said.
