The reggaeton singer “will host an evening of surprise performances and star in an intimate Q&A session during the five-day event,” according to Billboard's website.

During one of the events Balvin will be in conversation with Leila Cobo, Billboard Latino's content director. The session “aims to foster intimate and enlightening discussions” about the industry.

The Colombian, who is considered by the industry as “one of the top 10 most listened to artists worldwide in any language” will also host the event “The New Generation of Reggaeton: An Evening Curated by J Balvin”, which will feature guests hand-picked by him. 

Cobo said in a statement about Balvin that “Latin music is experiencing its moment of greatest success and worldwide recognition this year. But Billboard has proudly stood by his side for more than 35 years as the leading standard bearer, advocate and opinion maker for Latin music worldwide”. 

This year marks the 35th edition of Billboard Latin Music Week 2024. The event will take place October 14th-18th at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater.
