The 81-year-old Roberto Carlos announced that he will hit the studio after returning to Brazil from his Emotions on the High Seas show season, which he performs every year on a cruise along the Brazilian coast.

"I have several songs to record, I'm going into the studio right now, I want to make a new album in Spanish, because I haven't done anything in that language for a long time," he said during a press conference, reported EFE.

Although Carlos did not mention when the new album would drop, he did say it will be for 2023, although he "wants to do many things," and has already recorded four new songs.

"I'm deciding how I release them, if all together or one at a time, but I have that up my sleeve," he said.

Carlos' last album was Amor sin límite, released in 2018, which includes hits like "Esa Mujer," "Cuando digo que te amo," and "Luz Divina."

On Sunday night, March 5, the artist returned to the port of Rio de Janeiro after concluding his tour with the Emotions Project cruise, in which his followers were able to accompany him for five days and four nights on an adventure that set sail from Santos, Sao Paulo on Thursday, March 2.
