Considered the promoters of urban music that is so successful in our times, Wisin y Yandel will say goodbye to the stage forever. The 'duo of history,' as this popular reggaeton couple is known, has announced the details of their farewell tour, named 'Última Misión' on social media.

Despite moving away from the stage — although they confirmed that they will continue with solo careers — their hits "Gracias a ti," "Noche de sexo," "Como antes," "Pegao" and "Sexy Movimiento" will endure in time and will shake hips in nightclubs around the world.

In a warmonger-esque promotional clip, Wisin y Yandel appear as saviors on their last mission. Both repeat that "the time has come," in a clear reference to their split.

In addition to their final goodbye, they also announced the release of an album, which will be named like the tour. For now, it is unknown when it will be published, although there are speculations that it could happen between April and May. His fans are waiting for this Friday, when they will release a new single.

The route will begin on Sept. 20 at the FTX Arena in Miami, and after touring 26 cities in the U.S., it will finish in their native Puerto Rico in December, with a performance at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum.

“It will be a tour to remember how tasty reggaeton is, we want to thank millions of people for our almost 20 years of acting. We are honored and at the same time sad,” the pair acknowledged.

Just a day before the announcement, the duo received the BMI Presidential Award in Beverly Hills, California, in recognition of their achievements and contributions to Latin music over more than 20 years.

After the release of their album Líderes (2012), Wisin y Yandel took a break to dedicate themselves to separate personal projects. But a year later, they resumed activity, with the release of Los campeones del pueblo: The Big Leagues.

“We are super happy, the duo of history are still here, and not only as partners in music. After almost 20 years we have many experiences to tell. But now we will go on a tour to remember the best moments of our reggeaton,” they said at a press conference announcing the Última Misión.

It's one last tour that, as they promised, they have prepared with great care.

"You can't miss our last time together," they told their followers.
