'Luis Miguel' is gone: Diego Boneta to star in new romantic movie
The Mexican actor, most well-known for his feature role in 'Luis Miguel. The Series,' will star in 'At Midnight,' alongside Mónica Barbaro.

Although his acting career began at an early age with roles in series such as Rebelde and movies like Mean Girls 2, Rock of Ages and Pelé: Birth of a Legend, it was three seasons of Luis Miguel. The Series on Netflix, that boosted Mexican actor Diego González Boneta's career.
“The way forward is to be a little in everything. Making Hollywood movies, big productions, being able to make movies that go to Venice or Cannes. Being able to do series. I don't want to box myself. I don't want it to sound cliché but it's true: it's the best moment of my life," said the 31-year-old actor in an interview with Spanish newspaper El País, just after the premiere of the last season of the Luis Miguel series, which was a hit in the United States and Latin America.
After the success of television series based on the famous Mexican singer, Boneta is making another leap by joining the cast of a new Paramount+ movie.
The new movie is At Midnight: a romantic comedy, in which Boneta is not only the star actor with the American actress Mónica Barbaro, but also a producer with his company Three Amigos.

"First look at At Midnight with my wonderful co-star Monica Barbaro. A classic in the making: I can't wait to share it with the whole world,” said the Mexican actor.
At Midnight is directed by the American filmmaker Jonah Feingold. The drama tells the story of a Mexican hotel manager, Alejandro (Boneta), and famous actress Jessica (Barbaro). They both meet on the set of a movie. Despite belonging to two completely different worlds, the chemistry between them arose instantly, even though neither wants to fall in love.
The movie will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ in 2022. This is also not the only Paramount+ production Boneta is expected to star in. He will also join the cast of La Gran Ola, a biopic based on the surfer 'Coco' Nogales’s life.
