Guerrero is known for being one of the screenwriters of 'A Day Without Mexicans' (2004), a film that talks about what would happen if migrants disappear in the United States. This is one of the recurring themes of the director, who seeks to show the reality of those who arrive in the country. 

The Mexican has become a specialist on the subject of migration and opportunities for immigrants. That is why with his new film 'Clown & Out' he wants to portray the real story of hundreds of artists who arrive in the United States and suffer with the reality of the industry. 

The story told by Guerrero comes from the idea of Mexican Jesús Schettino, “who wanted to tell on the big screen the vicissitudes he suffered when he wanted to become a comedian on the stages of Los Angeles,” reported EFE.

“Entering Hollywood is a very, very difficult thing and the public sometimes does not know what an artist faces, especially if you are not from here (U.S.),” the artist mentioned to the agency. 

The script for this film, which was based on Schettino's story, was written by Guerrero along with Janet Quiñones. 
Clown & Out' tells the story of Paco, a Mexican who works washing dishes in a bar and seeks to make a place for himself in improvisational comedy but must settle for being a clown.
