The inaugural AL DÍA 40 Under Forty event will be a showcase of the most diverse and impactful young professionals in various fields of work across the Philadelphia region.

At the virtual event, taking place August 20, 2020, Janelle Coluccio, 29, will be one of the 40 honorees. Currently, she is a Senior Consultant of IT Strategy & Planning at Lincoln Financial Group. 

As part of the lead-up to the event, AL DÍA asked each of the 40 honorees the same three questions and collected their responses. 

Here are Janelle Coluccio’s responses:

Getting off the starting line, working two jobs, having an internship, and a full course load, while trying to keep a roof over my head. All of my hard work culminated when I received an offer letter from Lincoln Financial Group's Leadership Preparation Program and have since continuously earned promotions.

I have won several awards throughout my career, but the one that I am most proud of is winning partner of the year for Lincoln MoneyGuard in 2018. I always challenge the status quo, I'm not afraid to raise my hand and jump on projects that others may be afraid of, and I'm extremely passionate about everything I set my mind to. I think that mentality has allowed me to achieve so much more in my early career. 

Treat everyone how you'd like to be treated. Diversity and Inclusion shouldn't just be part of a training book. It should be part of your DNA as a leader and as a company. The more we take the time to learn about each other, get involved in diverse organizations, and embrace each other, the closer we will be to true inclusivity in the workplace.
